Bathroom Remodeling in Chandler & the East Valley

Bathroom remodeling with East Valley Floors centers on what we're best at, tile, stone, and flooring in the wet areas that define a bathroom: shower walls and floors, tub surrounds, bathroom floors, and vanity backsplashes. We've done this work across Chandler, Gilbert, Mesa, Tempe, and Queen Creek since 1984, and we coordinate the trades around it so your project moves on one schedule. Bathroom Remodeling Options

Shower Tile Installation

A tiled shower is the heart of most bathroom remodels. We install shower walls, tiled shower floors (mud-bed style slopes), curbs or curbless entries, recessed niches, benches, and glass-block or accent-wall features, all over a properly waterproofed substrate. Large-format porcelain, subway layouts, and mosaic shower floors are all in our regular rotation; see our bathrooms gallery for real East Valley examples.

Tub-to-Shower Conversions

Converting an underused tub into a walk-in shower is one of the most requested bathroom projects in the Valley. The work typically involves removing the tub, reworking the drain and valve area, building the shower base, waterproofing, and tiling walls and floor. We coordinate with licensed plumbing partners for the drain and valve rough-in, then our tile crew builds the finished shower.

Bathroom Floors

Porcelain tile is the default choice for Arizona bathrooms, it shrugs off water, dust, and daily traffic, and on slab construction it stays cool underfoot. We also install waterproof luxury vinyl plank in bathrooms where a warmer, softer surface is preferred.

Tub Surrounds and Vanity Details

Granite or tile tub splashes, vanity backsplashes, and wainscot give a bathroom its finished look. Pairing these with our granite vanity tops or a decorative accent band keeps the whole room on one design plan.

Who Bathroom Remodeling Is For: and Arizona Considerations

Homeowners come to us when the wet area is the problem: leaking or dated showers, a tub nobody uses, floors that have seen better decades. We're a strong fit when tile and waterproofing quality is your top concern, tile work is the most visible and most failure-prone part of any bathroom remodel, and it's where a flooring specialist's daily craft shows.

Arizona specifics shape how we build: showers here must handle hard water and heavy daily use; monsoon humidity swings make proper waterproofing and cure times non-negotiable; and slab-on-grade construction means drains, valves, and curbs are worked out against concrete, not a wood subfloor with a crawlspace. Material choices matter too, porcelain's low water absorption and cool surface suit the climate, and grout sealing schedules account for our mineral-heavy water.

What Affects Bathroom Remodeling Pricing

Bathroom pricing varies more than almost any other home project, because scope varies so much. The drivers:

  • Scope: shower retile only, tub-to-shower conversion, floor only, or a full bathroom.
  • Tile and material selections: porcelain vs. natural stone, standard vs. large-format, mosaic accents and niches.
  • Waterproofing system and shower construction: the substrate behind the tile is where quality lives, and it varies by design.
  • Plumbing changes: moving drains or valves (coordinated with licensed plumbing partners) adds cost; keeping fixtures in place controls it.
  • Demolition and disposal: what's coming out, and what's behind it once it's open.
  • Fixtures and finishes: glass enclosure, fixtures, vanity, and lighting selections.

Rather than guess, we price your actual bathroom in your home.

How Bathroom Remodeling Works With East Valley Floors

  1. Free in-home estimate. We look at the existing bathroom, talk through how you use it, and define the scope together.
  2. Design and material selection. Tile, stone, grout, and accent choices are made with samples in your actual lighting, the same materials we supply.
  3. Scheduling and trade coordination. Demolition, any plumbing or electrical rough-in (handled by appropriately licensed trade partners), and our tile work are sequenced on one timeline.
  4. Construction. Demolition, substrate and waterproofing, then tile, grout, and sealing.
  5. Finish and walkthrough. We review the shower pan, grout lines, and fixtures with you before calling it done.

Because we only install what we sell, the materials and the workmanship carry one chain of accountability.

Care & Maintenance

Squeegee or towel-dry shower walls to slow hard-water spotting. Use pH-neutral cleaners on tile and stone, never vinegar on natural stone. Seal cementitious grout and natural stone on the schedule we leave you, and keep a small amount of spare tile from the project for any future repair.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does a bathroom remodel cost in Chandler?

It depends on scope more than almost any other project, a shower retile, a tub-to-shower conversion, and a full bathroom are three different price universes. Material selections, waterproofing system, and plumbing changes drive the number. Your free in-home estimate puts real numbers to them.

How long does a bathroom remodel take?

A shower retile or tub-to-shower conversion typically runs one to two weeks once materials are on hand; fuller remodels run longer depending on scope and trade coordination. Your estimate includes a written schedule.

Can you convert my tub to a walk-in shower?

Yes, tub-to-shower conversion is one of our most common bathroom projects. We handle demolition, coordinate the plumbing changes with licensed plumbing partners, and build the finished tiled shower, including curbless entries where the floor structure allows.

Do you do the plumbing and electrical work?

Our scope is the tile, stone, and flooring, the surfaces. Where plumbing or electrical work is required, we coordinate with appropriately licensed trade partners as part of one schedule, so you're not managing separate contractors.

What tile is best for a bathroom floor in Arizona?

Porcelain is the proven default: extremely low water absorption, durable glaze, easy cleanup from dust and hard-water residue, and a cool surface that suits slab-on-grade homes. Waterproof LVP is a warmer-feeling alternative we also install.
