About East Valley Floors: A Chandler, AZ Family Business
Our Story
According to the company's history, East Valley Floors was founded in 1984 by Von Payne, when Gilbert was still a small farming community. As Gilbert and the rest of the Valley grew, the company grew with it, from carpet into waterproof flooring, tile and stone, granite, wood, laminate, bathrooms, fireplaces, and exterior tile.
Before starting the company, Von Payne worked as a regional sales representative for a carpet mill, covering Arizona and New Mexico. He is a lifelong Arizonan from a long-rooted Arizona family, the company has deep local ties that predate the East Valley's boom years. (The company's archived pages describe the family across multiple generations of Arizona history; the exact generation differs between the company's own site and one directory listing, so we simply say the family has called Arizona home for generations.)
